New Day

Hi Ladies!  Ok, you know how “untecky” I am right…  I guess you could say that I’m trying to learn but I hadn’t learned enough yet to keep me from getting blocked off my own blog!  Anyway, I am pretty persistent though, so here we are back again...

These past few months have flown by.  I think of the phrase “from glory to glory” -  so many great opportunities, great lessons and even greater experiences.  For our Women’s Summit, we saw 150 women and teens gather in Vancouver, WA.  We worshipped and thought about who we are in Christ affecting what we do for Christ – thank you Kim Arthur and the young women of Hallows Church plant in Seattle, WA.  We also received encouragement and training in our breakout sessions on Mentoring, Ministry and Mission – reaching everyone from children to adults, neighbors and human trafficking victims.  One of the highlights was having lunch by regions, so that we could meet new women from our very own area!  All 5 regions were represented, as well as 2 tables of Hispanic ladies - praise God!  Check out some pictures on our webpage NWWomen as well as links to other websites for ideas.  There is also a list of resources available for checkout.  Give Linda a call for more info, her number is on the website as well – thanks Linda!  And thanks Beckie for help with the webpage – you’re the best…

Then in Eugene, OR, 250 women gathered for a leader training conference before the Beth Moore Living Proof Live Event.  One of the things focused on was combining ministry and mission, as well as using the discipleship wheel to grow in our faith and evangelism.  I really felt God’s presence as we worshipped Him together.  Beth spoke the word to us – all focused on “time”.  Two exhortations that have stuck with me are 1, we are not few…  and 2, it is time for us to speak, teach, and use our gifts…  it is time...

Lastly for now, a very special lady passed into the presence of the Lord – Sara Wisdom.  She was greatly used by God here in the Northwest for over 30 years, to point women to Christ and help them develop their gifts in mission.  So many gathered to remember and praise God for her life.  For more info on her life check out our online convention newsletter The Witness.

Shew…  It’s great to be back online.  What have you seen God do lately?  Maybe it was something small, or something big…  something to celebrate, or something to grieve…  In every way and every time, our God is faithful…    I can’t wait to see what is next!
